Promoting a local, restorative approach to crime in Vermont communities.

We are a collective of 17 Community Justice Centers throughout the state who share a common desire to broaden and strengthen Vermont’s restorative practices. Our work includes a wide spectrum of community-centered work that uses restorative practices as its foundation. We invite you to contact our individual centers and see how you can join us!

Restorative justice is a collaborative, inclusive process that aims to build understanding, encourage accountability, and provide an opportunity to make things right when harm has happened. We believe this approach can improve the well-being of communities by restoring peace and reducing the likelihood of repeated conflict and crime.

"Justice must always question itself, just as society can exist only by means of the work it does on itself and on its institutions."
